Wymondham Young Voices is a fantastic experience for children from 7 to 12 years old to meet, sing, and have fun.
Julia offers fun singing sessions in a safe and welcoming environment for children of all abilities with or without any music experience, aged seven to twelve. Singing is fun and a great social experience for children. No expensive equipment or previous experience is required and it’s a great way to make new friends.

Singing is good for your child

Singing will help your child develop valuable soft-skills: Singing is a wonderful medium through which emotions can flow. It is great for regulating and calming the emotions; building self-confidence and team working skills; developing resilience and improving language skills.
Singing in a group enables young people to experience first-hand real music and real emotions, produced entirely from within, away from media and social networks.
Julia uses fun and catchy songs and ensures everyone feels welcome and encouraged. She uses live music to accompany the singing which adds to the whole musical and bodily experience.
Taking part in something bigger than themselves will help develop your child’s life-skills and create lasting memories.
Singing has taken Julia on so many exciting destinations and has formed some of her happiest memories. Music can do this because it involves our minds, bodies and emotions. Each term, the children will have the opportunity to take part in a very informal performance to parents and carers. This is a truly amazing experience for all involved and both the adults and the children find these events really rewarding. Julia has a great passion for singing and started singing formally at the age of six. She has toured with several choirs, sung on television and made a record. Today, she is a member of the UEA Chamber choir and the Wymondham Abbey Choir. Julia teaches at primary and secondary schools, is DBS checked and has several music qualifications.
